The church is the backbone of Discovery Clubs of Alabama. Over 21 churches in Alabama are now ministering to children in public schools through this method. We are able to take the Gospel into sixteen schools and reach some 900 students. Hundreds of children have made professions of faith.
HOW CAN MY CHURCH PARTICIPATE?
PRAY - We would hope that all 1200 churches in the Birmingham area would pray for our children in public schools.
VOLUNTEER - All of our 255 workers come from local churches. When dedicated Christians hear of this evangelistic work in schools, many feel led to help.
GIVE - The program is very effective but it is not inexpensive. Although staff are only part time, all workers must be trained, all supplies and literature must be paid for.
