AUXILIARY
Discovery Clubs of Alabama is seeking the support of individuals to come together through an auxiliary to sponsor our efforts in reaching youth in Birmingham and surrounding areas as we teach character development through faith-based principles. Our goal is to create volunteer-driven events, fundraising efforts and staff support that provide a sense of fulfillment and reward.
This year, Discovery Clubs of Alabama is reaching over 900 children and more that 260 volunteers have given generously of their time. The Discovery Clubs after-school programs serve boys and girls in grades second through fifth for one hour each week.
Some ways a member of our auxiliary has the opportunity to become involved include: planning events throughout the year that help to reward and further train the club volunteers, fundraising through special events, annual campaign drives, soliciting corporate involvement, and volunteering at the Discovery Clubs office preparing materials for the clubs.
